Robin Bland was a pseudonym given to Terrance Dicks for the Doctor Who story The Brain of Morbius.
He was dissatisfied with the rewrites to his script by script editor Robert Holmes, requesting his name be withdrawn from the credits and the story broadcast under "some bland pseudonym". Robert Holmes arranged that the story went out as being written by "Robin Bland".

Sarah Jane Smith would later use the alias "Sarah Bland" in the novel Interference - Book One in reference to the "Robin Bland" name.
