Ro-Jedda was the leader of the Sorvix that fled to Cardiff.

Biography

Life on Sorva

Ro-Jedda earnt the first syllable of her name in a fight and insisted upon it being used. (AUDIO: Superiority Complex) She had a daughter named Madrigal and once arranged for the death of one of her friends after Madrigal showed interest in him. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy)

Arrival in Cardiff

Ro-Jedda fled from God (AUDIO: Herald of the Dawn) with a number of other Sorvix and travelled through the Rift to Cardiff, acting as their leader and using threats to control the Mayor. She was weakened when she came through the Rift, making her vulnerable. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy) She set up 3Sol and used it to such effect that she would easily be able to launch a coup d'état against the Welsh Assembly. (AUDIO: Changes Everything)

She used Vincent Parry to provide accommodation for the arriving Sorvix and gave him Orr to take the form of his first wife as a gift. (AUDIO: Orr) Due to her vulnerability, she arranged for Madrigal to marry Osian, who belonged to a rival Sorvix family. When Quenel spoke out, Ro-Jedda had her confined her to a rehabilitation centre for Sorvix addicted to aspirin. Due to how easily her kind became addicted to the drug, she bought Aneurin Bevan Hospital. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy)

As more Sorvix were set to arrive, Ro-Jedda broke into Parry's house and gave him a forty-eight hour deadline to provide further housing. After he asked the Mayor for protection, she sent an assassin to kill him. (AUDIO: Orr)

As Lord Mayor

When the Mayor threatened to go public about the Sorvix's presence in the city, Ro-Jedda ate him and succeeded him, keeping on Tyler Steele to do PR due to his association with Torchwood. (AUDIO: Superiority Complex) Following disruption to the Rift, (AUDIO: A Kill to a View) Ro-Jedda set up Deliverables both to gain control of the Rift and to bring up the rate of employment. (AUDIO: Zero Hour)

Ro-Jedda planned to have policing outsourced to 3Sol by having a policeman commit racially-aggravated murder. She employed Professor Helen White to have policemen hypnotised at diversity seminars to stir up their rage and had radios built which would boost the aggression. Pete Bunton was one such subject. She succeeded when Andy Davidson shot and killed a refugee, leading her to outsource policing to 3Sol. (AUDIO: The Empty Hand)

Yvonne Hartman brokered a deal between Ro-Jedda and Felicity from 10 Downing Street that Ro-Jedda help with the rest of the United Kingdom's economy. After Yvonne and 3Sol took down Red Doors, Ro-Jedda met with Yvonne at City Hall, which was bombed. The two survived and watched as the Rift opened for God. (AUDIO: Herald of the Dawn)

Death

Yvonne took Ro-Jedda to the Hub and locked her up in the cells, ostensibly for her own protection. There, Ro-Jedda spoke with Ng and was sure that the Sorvix would come for her and take her away. However, Yvonne told her that the Sorvix had left and, after Ng told her that Ro-Jedda planned on burning the Earth, Yvonne shot and killed her. (AUDIO: Future Pain)

Legacy

Tyler used Brent Hayden to cover up the presence of Ro-Jedda and the Sorvix on Earth. (AUDIO: The Man Who Destroyed Torchwood)

Personality

Ro-Jedda was ruthless and efficient. She ordered assassinations, or simply ate, humans who threatened her or her species, like Vincent Parry or the previous mayor. (AUDIO: Orr)

Appearance

In her human form, Ro-Jedda dressed smartly and Vincent Parry described her as looking gorgeous and rich. As a Sorvix, she had a mouth on her back (AUDIO: Orr) and told Yvonne that she had talons that came out of there. (AUDIO: Herald of the Dawn)
