Red Tavern

The Red Tavern was a pub in London. Prior to being murdered by Jack the Ripper in 1888, Elizabeth "Long Liz" Stride used to drink in the Red Tavern. (AUDIO: The Wax Princess)

Ellie Higson was a barmaid in the Tavern in the 1890s. It was here that she met and became friends with Henry Gordon Jago and Professor George Litefoot. (AUDIO: The Mahogany Murderers)

During this time, she was turned into a vampire but managed to control her bloodlust for decades. (AUDIO: The Necropolis Express) By 1968, Ellie had become landlady of the Red Tavern and owned her own chain of restaurants.
