Biography[]
Early life[]
Rab was a non-white, working-class man living in London. He did some phone-hacking for Naomi Davies, getting him in trouble with the law, but he was able to avoid prosecution by doing "a few favours" for certain parties. After this, he swore off hacking phones in the future.
Naomi implied that he hacked into the CIA's mainframe and stole software (AUDIO: Embankment Station) and Woking had reason to believe that he was connected to every major hacking scandal over a ten year period. (AUDIO: Ruffling)
The Identical Men[]
Rab was aware of the strange goings-on following the Embankment tube station tremor and met with Naomi Davies at his usual café, using software that he had made to enhance her video of Charlotte Pollard and Robert Buchan being transported away from Embankment on stretchers and agreeing to try to find out who they were. He called Naomi later that day to tell her that Embankment had been closed again after two naked corpses were found; he then hacked into the CCTV and observed the Identical Men, whom he told Naomi about when she made her second visit. He also told her of the connection between Embankment and six suicides. (AUDIO: Embankment Station)
Rab went with Naomi to Embankment and was, like her, arrested after unwittingly entering a cordoned-off zone. They were taken to Woking by the Minister, who believed that they might be Charley and Robert, and they agreed to sign the Official Secrets Act and assist Woking in stopping the Identical Men. Rab was told to sit still when the Identical Men attacked but he attempted to leave with Naomi, Charley, Robert and Bertram before they were stopped by an armed Woking. (AUDIO: Ruffling)
Woking coughing up blood caused Rab to faint, but he soon came to and fled with the group from the zombified soldiers, becoming affected by the Identical Men's pulse on his way out of the Underground. The pulse caused him to forget to call an ambulance for Woking, instead doing research and finding that each of the strange goings-on in London were connected to people who had travelled on the trains that passed through Embankment. Madeline decided it would be a good idea to have Naomi interview Rab on the news as an eyewitness. (AUDIO: Seed of Chaos)
Aftermath[]
Rab and Naomi were evacuated from London and taken to a refugee camp in Slough, which Rab called a concentration camp. He received a message on his laptop from Charley and used that as a ticket to get out of the camp, making contact with Woking and being taken with Naomi to him and the Prime Minister. There, they were reunited with Bertram and learnt that Charley and Robert were on Gelrasi. (AUDIO: The Destructive Quality of Life)
Personality[]
Rab was a computer genius (AUDIO: Embankment Station, etc.) and also knew a lot about what Naomi termed "anoraky" things, such as trains. (AUDIO: Seed of Chaos) He felt safer in crowds (AUDIO: Embankment Station) and did not trust the government. (AUDIO: Ruffling) He was not good with the sight of blood, fainting after Woking vomited blood. (AUDIO: Seed of Chaos)
