Merry Gejelh, one of the Queens of Years. (The Rings of Akhaten)
Queen of Years is a title given to a chosen female. Queen of Years knows all the songs, melodies, rhythms and poems ever written or sang. The Queen of Years has the duty to sing to The Mummy, in front of a stadium full of thousands of the natives of the surrounding planets of Akhaten, in the big millennial event called the Festival of Offerings. Every time a Queen of Years dies, a new female (probably a child), to be the new Queen of Years.
During the time when the eleventh Doctor and Clara Oswald visited Akhaten, a young girl called Merry Gejelh was the Queen of Years in the festival. She was chosen and taken from her family as a baby, after the last Queen of Years died.
