Project Midas was a Russian space mission that took place in 2051. Margaret Cain served there as "UK cosmonaut" beating more than 25000 applicants, according to one of her online obituaries. Though the exact nature of the project was unknown, it involved landing on the Moon in April 2051. As a result, it made Cain only the second British woman to land there, behind Adelaide Brooke. Midas was also known to have required Cain to spend 18 months in training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre in Moscow's Star City near Korolev, Russia. (TV: The Waters of Mars)
