The President of Great Britain on a parallel Earth in 2007 was friends with Peter and Jackie Tyler.
Cybus Industries was regarded as having significant influence over his government. After Peter Tyler told him that Cybus Industries had bought his company, Vitex, the President remarked that some people say the same of his government. John Lumic hoped to gain government approval for cyber-conversion and unveiled him this concept. The meeting didn't flourish in Lumic's credence however, as the President made it abundantly clear he would not allow such a repugnant thing to change humanity; most obviously because it meant sacrificing humanity's souls. Affronted at receiving no approbation, Lumic had him murdered by one of many Cybus Cybermen at Jackie Tyler's birthday party. (TV: Rise of the Cybermen)
He was succeeded by Harriet Jones, who remained in office into 2010. (TV: Doomsday)
Personality[]
The President of Great Britain had a strong moral code. He was initially open to working with Cybus Industries for the technological advances they provided, but was vehemently against John Lumic's proposel for cyber-conversion. He considered the concept obscene and thought Lumic was "insane".
Despite this, he still sympathized with Lumic's plight, as the latter was dying of a terminal illness and intended to save himself via cyber-conversion. Even though the President shut down the concept, he apologized to Lumic and complimented his role as a businessman. The President's empathy was seen again when confronted with the Cybus Cybermen; he demanded to know who the Cybermen once were and sincerely apologized for what had happened to them.
The President appeared to admire successful businessmen. Not only did he compliment John Lumic, despite believing him to be insane, he was also impressed with Pete Tyler's success selling Vitex, noting he wasn't "quite the ordinary Joe" he appeared to be. (TV: Rise of the Cybermen)
