Prague was the capital of Czechoslovakia, (PROSE: Leap Second) later the Czech Republic and later still the Third Czech and Slovak Republic, in Eastern Europe on Earth. The first eight and eleventh incarnations of the Doctor all visited this city with their companions at various points in its history. The Eleventh Doctor once called it his seventh favourite city in the Milky Way to visit. (COMIC: The Broken Man)

In 1586, the Seventh Doctor and Ace visited Prague, where they abducted John Dee and Edward Kelley and took them to 848,988. (PROSE: Sunday Afternoon, AD 848,988)

In 1610, Francis Pearson met Edward Kelley in Prague, and they visited the home of Elizabeth Bathory. (PROSE: Managra)

In 1689, the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown visited Prague. The Doctor initially believed that it was 4240. (PROSE: Gold and Black Ooze)

20th century[]

In 1903, the Eighth Doctor drank absinthe in Prague. (PROSE: The City of the Dead)

In 1920, the word "robot", meaning "forced labour" in Czech, was coined by Karel Capek in Prague. (COMIC: The Broken Man)

In 1965, there was a major riot in Prague caused by a person with psychic powers designed by the Soviet Union to provoke extreme emotions in people. (AUDIO: Peshka)

In the 1970s, a conference on psychic phenomena was held in Prague. The Third Doctor and Liz Shaw tried to attend, but never made it as their plane's engine unexpectedly exploded. The Doctor claimed that he hadn't been to Prague since the University was founded. (COMIC: Change of Mind)

In November 1989, the Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams visited Prague and worked alongside the Russian Embassy to foil Yuri Azarov's plot to destroy humanity using the Golem of Prague. There were present for the Velvet Revolution on 28 November of that year, which saw the fall of Communism in Czechoslovakia. (COMIC: The Broken Man)

21st century[]

In 2012, the Fourth Doctor visited Prague, where he took part in a cooking contest against Drakos. (PROSE: The Dragons of Prague)

In 2050, the Seventh Doctor and Ace visited Prague, where they met Doctor Elizabeth Holub and investigated strange occurrences in the city. (PROSE: Fable Fusion)

In 2064, the Eighth Doctor and Charley Pollard visited Prague, where they found the city was enclosed within a dome to protect it from war. They convinced Colonel Rijzki that there was no war and that it was safe to remove the dome. (PROSE: War in a Time of Peace)

In 2099, the Fifth Doctor and Peri visited Prague, where they prevented an alien from causing the collapse of civilisation by adding a leap second to an atomic clock. (PROSE: Leap Second)

Later history[]

In the early 22nd century, the Fourth Doctor, Romana I and K9 Mark II visited Prague and reactivated the Golem, using it to drive off the Wronsdehj. (PROSE: Life from Lifelessness)

In 2181, the Fifth Doctor visited Prague, where he rescued Dusan from execution and reunited him with his fiancée Kája. (PROSE: Suspension and Disbelief)

In 2221, the Third Doctor and Jo Grant were brought to Prague, which was now part of the Third Czech and Slovak Republic, by Benek Chaloupka, who wanted them to investigate the haunting of his museum. (PROSE: Spoilsport)

In the 24th century, Prague was removed from space-time by a group of Crei and brought aboard their spacecraft so they could search for the Tipping Device. The Third Doctor was captured and forced to help them look for it, but he tricked his captors and returned Prague to Earth. (PROSE: Midnight in the Café of the Black Madonna)

In 2348, the First Doctor, Vicki and Steven Taylor visited Prague, where they prevented Jane Childress from devolving the faculty and students of the local university. (PROSE: The Long Step Backward)

In 2406, the Fourth Doctor, Leela and K9 Mark I visited Prague, which had been taken over by intelligent dogs, and assisted the human population in overthrowing their masters. (PROSE: The Dogs of War)

In the 27th century, the Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan visited Prague, where they solved the murder of Professor Hrabal. (PROSE: Nanomorphosis)

In 2908, the First Doctor and Steven visited Prague, which was infected by a Blue Plague. He discovered a cure for the plague and its origins. (PROSE: Room for Improvement)
