Mrs Pitt was a passenger aboard the Orient Express.
Sometime before arriving on the Orient Express she had poisoned her granddaughter's pony, something which Maisie suspected.
While dining aboard the train with her grandchild, Maisie Pitt, whom she insisted should call her mum, she saw the Foretold. Unaware that it could only be seen by her — its chosen victim due to her age of over 100 — she mistook it for a man dressed up as a mummy and attempted to point it out to the others, panicking as it closed in. Maisie took it for illness and asked her if she needed one of her pills. Mrs Pitt was unable to find aid and was killed, with her death being diagnosed as a heart attack.
