A pint was a unit of measurement. Attending a ball in 1813, Lord Barton commented that Ruby Sunday was an absolute delight, having hair like golden strands, spun in the rays of evening sun. In response, Ruby, referring to an earlier comment she had made about him being a "tall glass of heartbreak," stated that he was not a tall glass at all, but rather a half pint of shandy.
