Peter Sallis, OBE is an English actor who played Elric Penley in the Doctor Who serial The Ice Warriors. He was later due to play Striker in Enlightenment, but industrial action caused filming times to change and his schedule could no longer fit the role in.[1]
He is perhaps best known for playing Norman Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine and for voicing Wallace in the animated series Wallace and Gromit (1989-2010).
