Peter Gilmore (25 August 1931-3 February 2013[1]) played Brazen in the Doctor Who television story Frontios.
He was previously considered for the roles of Aukon in State of Decay, Captain Stapley in Time-Flight (TCH 35) and Commander Vorshak in Warriors of the Deep (TCH 38), Colonel Ben Wolsey in The Awakening, Orcini in Revelation of the Daleks, (TCH 41) Merdeen in The Mysterious Planet (TCH 42), King Yrcanos in Mindwarp, Commodore Travers in Terror of the Vervoids and George Ratcliffe in Remembrance of the Daleks. Gilmore is best known for playing James Onedin in over ninety episodes of The Onedin Line. He is also known for his appearances in eleven "Carry On" films. His other television appearances included roles on Emergency – Ward 10 and The Persuaders!.
