Peter William Shorrocks Butterworth (4 February 1915-16 January 1979[1]) played the original "Meddling Monk" in the Doctor Who television stories The Time Meddler and The Daleks' Master Plan.
His version of the Monk features on a “Wanted” poster in the 2020 animation of Episode 6 of 1967 story The Faceless Ones.
