Pendolin was the curator of the Time Museum. He presented Ian Chesterton his exhibit in the museum. He wanted Ian as he was the first male traveller with the First Doctor. He wanted to hear all of Ian's memories and recreated them in the museum. He wanted to get the Doctor into his museum. (AUDIO: The Time Museum)
