Worldbuilding[]

  • According to Tania, the Doctor claimed the previous week to have gone skinny dipping with Shirley Bassey. Helen refers to having met Galileo.
  • Kon Po and the Doctor are trapped in a time loop, living out the Eternal Present.
  • Liv's grandmother was Natalav, who was "mad as a sand worm".
  • The Doctor originally received the Paradoxica from Patience.
  • Flask was devastated by a flood which humans failed to help the locals stop. Historical texts record a once-a-century event called the Shoal of the Stricken wherein "thousands of [multicoloured] fish [emerge] from hibernation, rising from the bottom of the lake." The fish hibernate again the following night.
