Pamela Salem (born 22 January 1944-21 February 2024[1]) appeared in several Doctor Who television stories: as Toos in The Robots of Death and Rachel Jensen in Remembrance of the Daleks. She was also one of the many voices of Xoanon in The Face of Evil. She later reprised her role as Jensen in the Big Finish audio spin-off series Counter-Measures and 1963: The Assassination Games. She also voiced Lorretta Waldorf in The Silent Scream.

She was among the actresses considered to play Leela. (INFO: The Face of Evil) She was also considered for the roles of Doctor Solow and Preston in Warriors of the Deep (TCH 38), Jane Hampden in The Awakening and Dr. Elizabeth Styles in Resurrection of the Daleks.

She shared her memories of The Robots of Death on the audio commentary for the story's DVD re-release in 2012, as well as the documentary The Sandmine Murders.

Career[]

Salem has enjoyed a prolific acting career in the UK and the US, with roles on shows ranging from Howard's End to Magnum PI, as well as a stint on EastEnders. She also played Miss Moneypenny in the unofficial James Bond film Never Say Never Again and has appeared in Blake's 7 and The Tripods.
