The Palazzo Movie Theatre was a cinema located in Miami, Florida in the United States.

History[]

In 1952, the cinema was a segregated space. At the time, Reginald Pye was the projectionist at the cinema. One night, as he was running the 1935 animated film Mr Ring-A-Ding Goes to Town, a beam of moonlight bounced off into the projector, allowing Lux Imperator, God of Light from the Pantheon of Discord, to enter the film and possess the protagonist, Mr Ring-A-Ding. Lux Imperator was able to use Mr Ring-A-Ding's projected animated body to get out of the cinema screen and imprison the audience within film rolls.

The Fifteenth Doctor and Belinda Chandra visited the cinema three months after these events. At the time, the billboard displayed the name of the film The Harvest Bringer starring Rock Hudson. The billboard later turned out to be a cover-up hiding the word Harbinger.

Reginald sacrificed himself to blow up part of the cinema so that the Doctor could defeat Lux Imperator by feeding him an excessive amount of sunlight. By burning the film rolls, the imprisoned people were released unharmed. (TV: Lux [+])
