Our Story was a short story released on the BBC's Millingdale website on 8 April 2006 to coincide with series 2 of Doctor Who. It acted as the in-universe "Our Story" page for the Millingdale website.
Summary[]
The Millingdale family have been making ice cream for so long that nobody knows who first created it. The recipe has been passed down across generations, and in 1980, they decided to share the dessert with a wider audience.
The first Millingdale Ice Cream Parlour was opened in Newport on 23 June, 1981, and since then has grown "rapidly"; it has over 200 outlets, and has employed over 300 people. Despite this, the recipe is kept secret, and locked away in a vault at the Millingdale family home.
Millingdale's ice cream is stated to be made with "only the finest of fresh fruit, cream and other natural ingredients".
