Oslo was a city on the south coast (TV: The Lie of the Land [+]Toby Whithouse, Doctor Who series 10 (BBC One, 2017).) of Norway. At the time of the attempted Luron invasion of Earth in 1979, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart was on a fishing trip in Oslo. In the 21st century, due to its cold climate and northern latitude, the Ice Warriors sent their Seed Pods to Oslo to create an atmosphere lethal to humans, but which the Ice Warriors could thrive in.
