Operation Overlord was a campaign during the Second World War which included the Normandy landings, also known as D-Day. As part of the Twenty Seventh Armoured Brigade, Kenneth James Valentine took part in the landings on Sword Beach where he was injured. As a result, he was shipped back to Britain where he spent the remainder of the Second World War convalescing. (PROSE: Trace Memory)
