The Omega-Minus Detector Meter was a device present at Jodrell Bank.
At 00.37 hours on the day in 2065 on which Professor Logan addressed the World Security Council about the threat, the Omega-Minus Detector Meter picked up a "mysterious signal" from deep space, with the intensity of the reading suggesting that the dangerous Omega-Minus device had entered the Solar System and was approaching Earth at high speed. Logan's statement, which mentioned the Detector Meter, was quoted on the front page of TV Century 21 in an article about the subject for its 27 March edition. (PROSE: Earth in Peril!
