In 1944, the Seventh Doctor and Ace arrived at Colditz Castle, where the presence of Ace's Walkman nearly granted the Germans access to anachronistic laser technology which would have given them the edge in their nuclear program. The Doctor prevented this by removing the Walkman, although Elizabeth Klein, a native of the now-defunct timeline, remained at large. (AUDIO: Colditz [+]Steve Lyons, Main Range (Big Finish Productions, 2001).)
