In 1939, after the invasion of Poland, Nazi Germany offered to re-open negotiations with Britain and France but this was refused. (PROSE: Just War, AUDIO: Just War)

In 1944, the Seventh Doctor and Ace arrived at Colditz Castle, where the presence of Ace's Walkman nearly granted the Germans access to anachronistic laser technology which would have given them the edge in their nuclear program. The Doctor prevented this by removing the Walkman, although Elizabeth Klein, a native of the now-defunct timeline, remained at large. (AUDIO: Colditz)

In 1962, the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred, an event which almost plunged the world into a nuclear war. (PROSE: Heart of TARDIS, COMIC: The Piggybackers)

In 1963, the First Doctor and Susan Foreman investigated the cause of violent tribal instincts manifesting themselves among residents of Coal Hill. They discovered the presence of a German Wunderwaffe dropped on Mayfield Terrace during the Blitz, and activated in June 1963 when the terrace wad demolished. (AUDIO: Hunters of Earth)

Later history

In 2016, the Shadow Kin attacked the Autumn Prom at Coal Hill Academy, in pursuit of Charlie Smith and Andrea Quill. The Twelfth Doctor assisted the pair in repelling the Shadow Kin, and assembled the Coal Hill defenders to deal with future invasions & incidents that would occur around Shoreditch as a result of the space-time tears at Coal Hill. (TV: For Tonight We Might Die) Throughout the rest of the year, they would deal with numerous alien encounters. (TV: The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo et al.)

The newly-regenerated Tenth Doctor planned to take Rose Tyler to the planet Barcelona on 6PM of a Tuesday in October 5006, his previous incarnation having told her that she would've "love[d] it" immediately prior to his regeneration. However, he cancelled this to take her back home to the Powell Estate on Christmas Eve 2006. (TV: Children in Need Special)
