Notes[]
- This story was recorded on 19 November 2016 at Ladbroke Audio.
- While no temporal or spatial setting is explicitly given in this story outside of Christmas on Earth, the use of a gramophone suggests the 20th century; while the character's names, the reference to the Weihnachtsmann, and the title of the story ("Oh Christmas Tree" in German) suggest a setting in Germany.
Continuity[]
- Steven recalls the Monk's gramophone. (TV: The Time Meddler)
- The Doctor states that Hermann’s body is “wearing a bit thin” and that it “happens to [everybody].” (TV: The Tenth Planet, The Day of the Doctor)
- Steven mentions that the Doctor's piercing gaze has made him quiver before, but that it also did the same to the Drahvins. (TV: Galaxy 4)
- Steven calls out "Merry Christmas" to Joseph and Hermann in the cottage, and when he gets no response he mutters to himself "to all of you at home". (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan)
