North Lees Hall was a manor house in Derbyshire. It had many bedrooms, a large dining room, a drawing room full of books, stables for horses and large grounds with a river running through them. In the 19th century the house was staffed by many servants, who lived and worked downstairs. (COMIC: Unearthly Things)

History[]

In 1895, its owner Lord Marlborough was being psychically controlled by an Aranox, and brought in as many humans as he could so that the Aranox could drain their psychic energy. Charlotte Brontë and Ellen were recieved as guests, as were the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald. When the Doctor managed to free Marlborough from the Aranox's psychic control Marlborough killed the creature with a lantern. In the process he started a fire which engulfed most of the building.

The hall was presumably rebuilt, as the Doctor stated that it would later become a National Trust property with a "lovely" tea room. (COMIC: Unearthly Things)
