As perceived by the Nestene Consciousness, the edge of the Last Great Time War spontaneously appeared to ruin Nestenia before it was "sucked back into its breach, beyond the normal universe." (PROSE: Revenge of the Nestene)
As specified in other accounts, while the War was also fought beyond the comprehension of most beings through conflicts like time battles and temporal fronts, these were not the only types of fighting that occurred; (AUDIO: The Eternity Cage) there were many times when the conflict between the Daleks and Time Lords was fought within the normal universe on ground (COMIC: The Clockwise War, et. al) or in space, albeit often with great amounts of destruction stemming from their fighting, with the War coming to enter and consume countless epochs throughout the universe's history. (PROSE: Engines of War, et. al)
In one account of the end of the Time War, the Eighth Doctor, having used the Moment to destroy Gallifrey Original, tumbled out of existence as the Time Lock containing the war solidified, falling into plasmaspace, then foulspace, then beyond into infinity before he was ultimately retrieved by the TARDIS. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Time War)

The time lock maintained the planet's gravity and atmosphere, and also spun its core as if nothing had happened. The Eleventh Doctor visited Lujhimene looking for the Volatix Cabal. (COMIC: Running to Stay Still)
