Nikita Khrushchev

Nikita Khrushchev, (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy) also spelled as Khruschev, (PROSE: Loving the Alien) Krushchev, (COMIC: The Piggybackers) or Kruschev, (PROSE: Time and Relative, COMIC: Zodiac Makes An Arrest) served as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in the 1950s to 1964. Biography[]

Early career in the party[]

In 1951, Joseph Stalin held dinner parties at his dacha with high-ranking Politburo members which included Khrushchev, Malenkov, Bulganin, Beria, and Molotov. Khrushchev praised Stalin at these parties but in private he speculated that Stalin had dementia and was wary of attacking America. (PROSE: Endgame)

Leading the U.S.S.R[]

Upon seeing a Tzun skiff in 1957, Marion Davison was "as shocked as if she had seen President Eisenhower kiss Nikita Khrushchev". (PROSE: First Frontier)

In September 1959, Khrushchev made a visit to the United States of America but was denied permission to visit Disneyland for security reasons. In November, Khrushchev denied shooting down the Waverider rocket and an attack of Russian forces on British soil. (PROSE: Loving the Alien)

In October 1962, Khrushchev was in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis. (COMIC: The Piggybackers) President John F. Kennedy successful negotiated with Khrushchev to end the crisis. (PROSE: The Showstoppers)

By March 1963, he was said to be worried about a coup d'état, at least according to John Brent, who said his generals hadn't liked how he'd backed down over Cuba. (PROSE: Time and Relative)

Retirement and death[]

He was removed from office in 1964. Nevertheless, he continued to exercise considerable control over the Politburo until his health began to fail seven years later. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)

Legacy[]

A Kruschev Avenue existed in Unity City, the world capital of Earth, by 2065. It had a common corner with Churchill Street. (COMIC: Zodiac Makes An Arrest)
