A nightwatchman guarded the scientific research centre in which a recently built time machine was kept. Burglar Johnny Philpot hid from the nightwatchman in the time machine, but accidentally activated it. Upon his return, the nightwatchman confronted him, but he accidentally activated the time machine again. Upon his second return, the nightwatchman arrested him. (COMIC: The Unwilling Traveller)
