Nicholas Parsons CBE (10 October 1923^[1]-28 January 2020^[2]^[3]) played Reverend Wainwright in the Doctor Who television story The Curse of Fenric. He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.

Outside the DWU, Parsons is best known for hosting Sale of the Century and Just A Minute. He was awarded a CBE in the 2014 New Year Honours List.^[4]
