New South Wales was a state in Australia that both Simon Griffiths and Nate Simms called home. Cities or towns in the state included Sydney and its suburbs Parramatta and Glebe, along with Castle Hill. At least part of its southern border with Victoria was defined by the Snowy Mountains, which Simms once visited whilst lodging at Jindabyne. Polly Wright spent some time in the state. The Eleventh Doctor, Kazran Sardick and Abigail Pettigrew also visited the state and had their picture taken in front of the state's signature landmark, the Sydney Opera House. (TV: A Christmas Carol)

In 1926, the tiger Dawon was held in a train carriage by a padlock made in New South Wales. (AUDIO: The Emerald Tiger)
