New Adventures of Noddy was a BBC-produced programme in Earth-33⅓, in an era "where famous authors' works [could] be changed for "the good of the people" [and] where characters of dubious or colourful nature [could] be tippexed from existence", according to the First Doctor. Susan Foreman thought this judgement was exaggerated and expressed the opinion that New Adventures of Noddy wasn't that bad but Noddy himself apparently concurred with the Doctor, quipping that "they" would take Dick out of The Famous Five next.
