Neve McIntosh played the recurring character Madame Vastra during the run of the Eleventh Doctor and reprised the role for Big Finish in 2018. She also played Alaya and Restac in the Series 5 two parter The Hungry Earth / Cold Blood.
She is best known to fantasy fans for playing Lady Fuchsia in the 2000 miniseries Gormenghast. In the autumn of 2010, she co-starred in the BBC miniseries Single Father alongside David Tennant and Suranne Jones.
In 2012, she narrated the audio book version of the novel Dark Horizons.
