Multi-dextrous claw

The multi-dextrous claw attached to the first Dalek. (TV: Destination: Skaro [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who (BBC One, 2023).)

In one account of the genesis of the Daleks, Davros installed a multi-dextrous claw "capable of annihilating a million Thals" on his first Dalek.

However, while Davros was away answering a request from Nyder, the Doctor's TARDIS crashed into the room, collided with the Dalek and broke the claw off. The Fourteenth Doctor took the now broken claw with him, and left a plunger from the TARDIS with Castavillian as a replacement.

When Davros returned and discovered this modification to the casing he created, he decided that he liked this new attachment (TV: Destination: Skaro [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who (BBC One, 2023).) — leading to what would become known as the suction cup becoming the norm, though alternative claw manipulators would exist as well. (PROSE: Dalek Combat Training Manual [+]Richard Atkinson and Mike Tucker, BBC Books (2021).)
