Muffin the Mule is a multimedia franchise which began with a puppet television series of the same name, presented by Annette Mills and broadcast on the BBC, and later gained adaptations into comics (e.g. TV Comic), books, and a revival television series from 2005 to 2007.

The series stars the titular Muffin the Mule, along with some other animal characters.

Muffin the Mule was among the various television series to be featured in the Children in Need crossover television special Future Generations, which featured a young boy walking through the settings of various BBC series, and walking past or interacting with various characters from the series. Early in the video, the boy walks through a garden whose inhabitants include Muffin the Mule. Much later in the special, he walks past two Daleks.

When the first issue of TV Comic was published in 1951, it featured the first page of the Muffin the Mule comic on the cover with art done by Neville Main, who would be the first artist of the magazine's Doctor Who comic.
