The Morris worm was one of the the first computer viruses. On 2 November, 1988, the Morris worm was released on to the internet, causing roughly £5 million in damage. Descendants from its code formed their own civilisation on Digital Sphere H4922 in the 24th century. (PROSE: Time Traveller's Diary)
