Moonites were a fictional species native to the Moon that were imagined by Strax. He blamed the Eleventh Doctor's retirement on them, declaring war on them in an attempt to cheer him up. (TV: The Great Detective) He theorised them to be in allegiance with the Rutan Host. (PROSE: Devil in the Smoke)
