Michael Jones played a young version of the Doctor in the television story Listen. (DWM 520, TDWC12D 1) In the episode, Jones's face is kept in shadow, preserving ambiguity about the child's idenity. but director Douglas Mackinnon later confirmed that he had asked the hair team to style Jones's hair to match a photograph of William Hartnell as a child, thus implying that Jones' child Doctor is a child version of the First Doctor.[1]
