The Menim were an ancient race, famed for their power of sight, with greater recognition and appreciation of colour and form than any other race.

The Menim had insect-like limbs on a reptilian body and a long tail tipped with a poisonous spike. Because of their narrow gills on their necks, their speech incorporated a series of clicking sounds and their mouths had moving parts.

For serious crimes, the Menim punished their criminals damaged their eyes to remove the gift of sight. One criminal, Shas-Raklat, defiantly developed her sense of smell to compensate for her blindness. (PROSE: The Colour of Darkness)
