The Menim were an ancient race, famed for their power of sight, with greater recognition and appreciation of colour and form than any other race.
The Menim had insect-like limbs on a reptilian body and a long tail tipped with a poisonous spike. Because of their narrow gills on their necks, their speech incorporated a series of clicking sounds and their mouths had moving parts.
For serious crimes, the Menim punished their criminals by damaging their eyes to remove the gift of sight. One criminal, Shas-Raklat, defiantly developed her sense of smell to compensate for her blindness. (PROSE: The Colour of Darkness)
