One half of duo Mel and Sue, Mel Giedroyc (born 5 June 1968[1]) played companion-applicant Jemima-Katy played in the "Doctor's Assistant" skit featured in The Skivers. She also played herself in the Children in Need special Looking for Pudsey.
Mel and Sue Perkins have been working together as a duo since the 1990s. In 1996, Mel appeared in French and Saunders, as well as wrote for it, together with Sue.
