Mechon 803 was a Mechanoid stationed on the planet Hesperus where the Mechanoids had been preparing for human colonisation for centuries, and ended up defending it from a Dalek invasion to that end. During the battle, 803 was summoned by Mechon 84 alongside units 179 and 212, using their combined firepower to destroy a single Dalek. However, Unit 803 experienced a systems failure as a result of being exposed to the Daleks' heated casing, so exploded at virtually the same nanosecond as the Dalek target. To replace 803, 84 summoned Mechon 612 to join them. (PROSE: War of the Daleks)
