Matt Nelson was a United States Senator from Minnesota who ran for President, won, and was assassinated by Dave Larsen a few seconds after being sworn in. (PROSE: Head of State)
Biography[]
When he was 45 years old, Nelson was the junior Senator from Minnesota when he decided to run for President of the United States with the hopes of gathering votes from individuals who had been newly granted the right to vote in the Zall vs Pennsylvania Supreme Court case.
Rachel Edwards was assigned by the Sunday Herald to cover Nelson's campaign. She believed he was the only actual left-wing candidate in the race.
Immediately after being sworn into office, he was assassinated by Dave Larsen. Nelson's Vice President, Lola Denison, succeeded him. (PROSE: Head of State)
