Mason was a police officer from 1950s Montgomery.
He visited the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham O'Brien, Ryan Sinclair and Yasmin Khan's room at the Sahara Springs Motel to investigate reported disturbances involving Ryan. He reminded the Doctor and Graham that it was a criminal offence to harbour non-white individuals on segregated premises, before checking the room for Ryan and Yasmin. However, they had left the building via the bathroom window, so he left. (TV: Rosa)
