Mary Wilde was a popular 1960s radio personality. She worked for Radio Crossbones.

In September 1969, the Grandfathers' spacecraft crashed into the Radio Crossbones ship. Along with Alan Scott, Wilde survived and was captured by the Ymir. On the threat of death, she acted as the go-between between the Ymir and their human prisoners. Mary worked with the Fifth Operational Corps to distract the Ymir while Anne Travers sabotaged the Grandfathers' ship. Wilde then helped get the prisoners out of the ship before it exploded.

To cover-up the incident, Wilde was told to pretend that Radio Crossbones had been attacked by Brazilian drug runners and that she escaped in a lifeboat. (PROSE: The Grandfather Infestation)

On 25 December, Wilde was interviewed on television by Larry Greene as part of his series on the most interesting people of 1969. (PROSE: Home for Christmas)
