Martin Clunes OBE (born 28 November 1961[1]) played Lon in the Doctor Who television story Snakedance, which was his first major role on television.
He shared his memories of the story on the documentary When Janet Met Martin.
He was one of many names put forward for the part of the Eighth Doctor and was later considered for the Ninth Doctor.[2][3]
