The Marineville Control Tower was the building from which Commander Sam Shore and his assistant Lieutenant Fisher oversaw the operations of both Marineville and the World Aquanaut Security Patrol as a whole.
As a defensive measure, when Battle Stations were sounded the entire Control Tower would move into an underground air-attack shelter sixty feet below ground. (PROSE: Titan Declares War!)
History[]
The Control Tower was seen on the front page of TV Century 21 on 30 January 2065, accompanying an article detailing the fact that Marineville had started an air search for the missing aircraft carrier S.A.3.. (PROSE: Stingray Attacked!) A special correspondent for TV21 reported on the front page for the 13 February edition that Commander Shore had sounded Battle Stations (PROSE: Fireball Surrenders!) due to an impending attack from aircraft carriers controlled by Titan. (COMIC: Power Play) This attack soon occurred and TV21's correspondent wrote articles about the crisis for the front pages of the magazine on 20 February and 6 March, all while Marineville's installations were being devastated by repeated rocket bombardments, (PROSE: Titan Declares War!, Marineville Waits!) even getting an interview from Commander Shore which explained his plan to resolve the situation. Meanwhile, WASP officials at Marineville Tracking Station Z11 attempted to work out the position of the under-sea cavern where Stingray was trapped, with the only information the controllers had at their disposal being the few video-scans pictures which had been received at the Control Tower. Behind the scenes[]
The Marineville Control Tower originated from the television series Stingray.
