Mann's Chinese Theatre

Mann's Chinese Theatre, also known simply as the Chinese Theatre, was a cinema in Hollywood.

In 1936, Iris Wildthyme and Jo Jones visited the Chinese Theatre. (AUDIO: The Elixir of Doom)

In May 1977, the Sixth Doctor and Frobisher attended the premiere of Star Wars at Mann's. (PROSE: Mission: Impractical)

Behind the scenes[]

  • Mann's Chinese Theatre was originally named Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the name changing to Mann's in 1973 due to a change in ownership. In 2001 the theatre reverted to the original name, Grauman's, as part of a restoration effort. Colloquially, the cinema has been commonly known as the Chinese Theatre since it was established.
