Biography

Gill was born in Leeds to a westernised Indian Sikh family who ran a newsagents shop. Her family speak Punjabi and she has a working understanding of the language. Gill performed from a young age for her family. She is the youngest of six sisters and has a younger brother too. She grew up surrounded by driven female role models and was given a strong work ethic. Her training was at Park Lane College, central Leeds where she studied Performing Arts. She then went on to graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston in 2009 with a BA (Hons) in Acting. By her own admission, she cannot sing.
