Maharis was one of the Monoids' slaves aboard the Ark in the 57th Segment of Time. He collaborated with them in return for better treatment. The other humans usually avoided him. He informed the kitchen crew, which included Steven Taylor, that the Monoids not only intended to leave the humans on the ship when they arrived at Refusis II but also had planted a device on the ship that would destroy the Ark.

Maharis wanted to leave the ship, not caring about the fate of the miniaturised humans. He was sent to Refusis in a launcher with Dassuk and two other guardians. When they landed on Refusis, Maharis exited first. Out on the surface of the planet, he was shot and killed by Four. (TV: The Ark)
