Messier 87, known as M87, was a galaxy located in the Virgo Cluster of the constellation Virgo.
History
The galaxy was discovered in the 1700s by French astronomer Charles Messier and listed in his Messier Catalogue. Circa 4,999,999,740 CE one of its constituent planets, New Savannah, joined the New Earth Empire, which was presumably set up before the aforementioned date.
