Professor Logan was the director of Jodrell Bank in 2065 (PROSE: Earth in Peril!) and was in charge of its radio telescope. (PROSE: Stingray Hunts Aliens)

After Jodrell Bank's Omega-Minus Detector Meter picked up evidence that the Omega-Minus device had entered the Solar System and was approaching Earth at high speed, Logan addressed the World Security Council and informed them of these developments. He also recommended that all bases be alerted until more information about the force behind the device could be gathered. The World Security Council followed this advice, placing all air and land forces on Emergency Red. Logan's message to the Security Council was present, along with a report on their subsequent action, on the front page of TV Century 21 on 27 March 2065. (PROSE: Earth in Peril!)

Logan later issued a brief communique which said that he and his scientists were "mystified" by the loss of contact with the Omega-Minus device. It further stated that they had last plotted its position as it entered the Eros Asteroid Belt and were working non-stop to try and regain contact. This news was also reported on TV21's front page, on this occasion for its 3 April edition. (PROSE: Stingray Hunts Aliens)
